Sorry, just spotted this post. SInce my name was mentioned . . .

It's basically against my religion to sell my guns!

Truth be told when I joined the PD I did not like S&Ws, so I got permission from my Chief to buy a Colt Trooper and agreed to carry it with issue .38SP ammo. I later got permission to carry my Colt Det Spcl only for Town Meetings, as I had to ditch my uniform when the meeting began (mandate by Town Moderator or he wouldn't allow me to speak, thus we worked out a deal with my Chief, Town Moderator and myself) and I could usually still bury the Det Spcl on me (well, a lot easier than the 4" Trooper).

NOTE: As a Special PO, they supplied us nothing (other than a one-shot on some hand-me-downs if they fit) and we had to buy our own leather, guns, etc. (no budget and no allowances).

On very rare occasion I have been known to sell a gun that I absolutely have no use for. Ironically I currently have a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 rifle in 9mm up for sale on another forum. After checking out a new acquisition today I'll likely have my Walther P22 up for sale as well. But these are very rare occurences.
