Four charged in Spencer drug raid
SPENCER -- Four people were arraigned on drug charges last week after a raid on a Chestnut Street apartment turned up a small amount of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Spencer police, assisted by officers from Leicester and the Regional Drug and Counter Crime Task Force, and a police dog from the Worcester County Sheriff’s office, executed a search warrant at 53 Chestnut St., Apt. 1, during the weekend of Oct. 8-9 after a two-week investigation led them to believe they would find drugs there.
Arrested in the raid were Stephen M. Beaudry, 31, and Joseph D. Francks, 29, who live at the apartment; Karen Riedel, 30, of Goff Street, Millbury; and Kerry M. Kroyman, 47, of 19 Mechanic St. All were charged with conspiracy to violate the drug laws.
Ms. Reidel and Mr. Francks were also charged with possession of a Class B drug. The four were arraigned in Western Worcester District Court in East Brookfield. They are due back in court for pretrial conferences Oct. 24.

The way the media words things always cracks me up: "...and a police dog from the Worcester County Sheriff's Office." Hopefully there was a Deputy with the dog =)
