Northeastern Police, out in teams of plainclothes officers last Friday and Saturday night, confiscated alcohol underage students were carrying on or near campus. In the two days, police confiscated 261 loose cans of beer, 15 loose bottles of beer, 19 30-racks of beer, four 24-packs of beer, one 20-pack of beer, six 12-packs of beer, seven beer balls, one beer keg, three bottles of wine and 28 liters of hard liquor. Associate Director of Public Safety James Ferrier said police would continue to patrol campus over the next few weekends looking for underage drinkers.

Such a lovely sight

That's all that they could find?

I'm sure that one frat house would easily exceed this haul. I doubt that the frat houses card people, they certainly didn't do it when I was a student at NU! Of course none of the frat houses are on campus . . . nowhere near the campus.

Did I miss the part where they talked about the number of arrests that were made?

None to my knowledge, all are being dealt with internally. BPD however arrested a few of ours, and also had a boat load of confiscated alchy

A number of people are being summonsed. The operation would have ended pretty quick and there would have been far less confiscations if the Officers were tied up processing the first offenders they came accross. Overall it was a very proactive and productive weekend.

Quite a while if it was on overtime, which would be my guess!

I work part-time at THE Liquor Store for the NU/Wentworth area and have to say that the last 2 weekends have been insane. NUPD has been out in force as well as BPD and Investigators from the ABCC.
