Another week down!!!!!!

Posted by: Mitpo62

".......when I say LEFT, your left foot hits the deck. Week 14 people! Week 14! You look like a HERD!"

Posted by: Sarge31

Just curious.......who are the DI's in Plymouth these days? I graduated teh 16th MPOC. Degutis was the director, Frank Riordan (Brockton PD) and Mike Gray (PCSO) were the Di's.

Posted by: jfontez

The senior staff is now Officer Leonard Mota (New Bedford), Sergeant Francis Riordan (Brockton)(Wareham), Lieutenant John Rogers (Plymouth), Captain Boteri (Plymouth), and Eileen Goodick is the Health and Wellness Director. We occasionally have Deputy Sean (I think it is sean) Percy (plmouth county sherrrifs Dept) and Russell Hadfield (US Marshall (formerly plymouth county sherrifs)) for P.T. Thats is it for staff I think. Lots of different instructors teaching classes. And Degutis is still the director.

Posted by: jfontez

People You Look Like A Herd!!!!!!

Posted by: Opie

Rogers made LT. Good for him, he's a good man. Is the Capt. in the M-F rotation for Senior Staff on-duty? Or assist. w/ PT or regular training?

Posted by: Mitpo62

The good captain is helping out because Lt. Rogers is now working in detectives and isn't available as much during the day. Not sure, but I believe the captain may become more involved. He is a good person.

Posted by: jfontez

Captain Boteri seems like a real good guy, I hope he becomes more involved. I guess he used to do just applied patrol procedures but as is stated above he is helping out the LT...

Posted by: Mitpo62

"Phase 3 people! Phase 3! Make sure you keep your grape out of your but-tocks! Outstanding!"

Posted by: Sarge31

Sgt. Riordan was my D.I. when I went through in the 16th MPOC. Good guy.Back then, it was just himself and Mike Gray (PCSO) running things, with DeGutis being the director.
Funny how much it's grown.

My favorite Plymouth Senior Staff Instructor shouted at us -"YOU PEOPLE LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF HERD!!!!

Posted by: Mitpo62

Posted by: jfontez

FOOORWARD........ Dont anticipate the command PEOPLE, YARCH!
January 13th is at least getting a little closer.

Posted by: 2-4FA

Moooo. Mooooo!

Posted by: 40th MPOC#309

Don't niss those MPOC days...do miss my classmates though. Nope, Woody, no 204 for me. I'm still in my sainted 209. Fresh out of the body shop. A Sgt. smashed it twice in 2 weeks. I've had it since day one-not a scratch. WTF.

Posted by: Mitpo62

"People, people; listen up! I don't care if the snow blows across your grape during the run. Suck it up and and keep pushing!"

Posted by: jfontez

No frozen H2O in the forecast for Monday.

Posted by: Mitpo62

A "yepper" will bring out the ole' pen and paper EVERY time! @#$%*& those to/froms!

Posted by: Gil

Someone tell Mota that Mark Twain said that you do need to write anymore to/froms. Just use the words mota-car-drag and you will be exempt from to/froms for that day.

Do you guys cringe when you see that silver crown vic in the am. Always ruined my day

A kid in my class found his picture that was in the paper after the mota-car-drag and made it the wallpaper for the main computer in the tech room.

I won't miss staring at the parking lot entrance to see who senior staff for the day was going to be. Silver Crown Vic = Pit in Stomach, Gray Hyundai = someone is getting a BS To/From from one of the 3 faces of Frank, Blue Envoy = Good day.

Yarch = March Chowder = Louder Yabout Face He's like a JarHead Elmer Fud!

Posted by: Mitpo62

Three weeks to go people, three weeks! Don't get complacent! Keep those grapes out of your buttocks and suck it up until that final dismissal on January 13th.......

Congratulations to all of the members of the 46th, good luck to all of those who will be attending the 47th.

Posted by: 40th MPOC#309

Congrats to all 46th MPOC boots! It will take a little while to settle down after the Academy routine. On the job-keep your mouths shut and ears wide open. Remember your place on the food chain and be respectful to all and you'll do fine! (And be xtra nice to your sainted ones-this has been tough on them too.)

Posted by: Mitpo62

"46th M.P.O.C......DIS-MISSED!" "SIR, YES SIR!"

Posted by: Opie

Congrats 46th! You made it!

Posted by: 94c

whatever you do, don't ever forget that you have only just begun to learn. This is a job like no other. The freedom to roam, where no two situations will ever be exactly the same. But hopefully you'll be able to grab bits and pieces as you go along to allow you to handle the really tough one when it arrives.

That was damn near poetic, what a quote, that's basically what I repeat to people over and over when they ask why I am doing what I do...

Now there's a classic that will live in infamy!

Posted by: 40th MPOC#309

Intel for any graduates of the Plymouth Police Academy's 40th MPOC-we are having a class reunion on March 4th @ the Charlie Horse in West Bridgewater, 6PM $25.00 per person. Senior Staff Instructor Mota will attend and will give us open ranks inspection and C90 grilling if needed! Ofc. Robson will tantalize us with her chilling tale of survival in the Pool! Ofc. Lemanski will regale us with his rendition of "Moving on Up-the theme to the Jeffersons" on our formation run through W.B.! Seriously, PM me or call Carlos T. from New Bedford PD to let us know if you and your sainted one will attend. Pappy.

Posted by: jfontez

IrishPride (EPI) I missed you at the party why dont you give me a call I'll swing by the fine city...... Keep Metro away!

Posted by: Mitpo62

Hey J dog I have a couple of books for sale. Know anyone in the 47th that may need them......???

Posted by: jfontez

Yeah, We got three going through and I only have enough for one and some extras. I'll take anything you got as you know they'll need it....

Posted by: 40th MPOC#309

No more Sgt. Russ Hadfield in LE/LE Training. My co-worker saw him at a H/S football game in our town-said he's done w/LE. Gone in the acft. leasing business......

Posted by: Mitpo62

Good Luck to all those "recruits" starting the 47th tomorrow morning. Day one is a thrilling ride......kinda like "Superman"; highs and lows. You'll be exposed to one of the best academy staffs; from Ms. Goodick's belly busting ab exercises (Hold 'em!) to long runs in the forest with Officer Mota (one good cop!). Enjoy!

Posted by: jfontez

I think they are getting ready to finish up week 11.... 10 more weeks of Uncle Johnies Police Camp!

Posted by: Mitpo62

Can the 47th see the light of day yet? Hopefully they have been cracking the books, staying up with their studies. More importantly, better peel open that "Lying" book for the upcoming seven page paper and accompanying exam. Keep at it everybody!

Posted by: kojack1

Ahh the LYING BOOK,, what a waste of time, between that the spelling test and the To-Froms on the charge of the light brigade and why pound cake is pound cake, I am suprised that I got anything accomplished, other than

Posted by: Mitpo62

Charge of the Light Brigade?! Holy cow, I forgot all about THAT paper. Aw yes, the memories come flooding back..........

Posted by: Opie

I'd just prefer to forget about that place all together! I just keep hoping to see on the 6 O'Clock news that Heir Director is being charged with embezzling State Funds or something...

Posted by: Mitpo62

Tic, tic, tic.....getting close to the end 47! Don't drop your guard and study hard for those final exams. Just 9 more days and a wake up!

Posted by: Piper

not many days left I hear?

Posted by: Gil

Plymouth what fond memories.....NOT! I have not been back once since the 41st graduated nor do I plan on it anytime soon. The bullshit that goes on in that academy is ridiculous. Percy, Mota and Rogers excluded.

Igor should have been fired for the bs that went down between the 41st and the Plymouth Sheriffs SRT unit.

By the way for those of you unfortunate enough to have to attend future Plymouth academies I have all of the to-froms and bs papers burned to a CD should you need to spend time on actually studying police related material!

Posted by: mchef766

47th graduates tomorrow morning @ 12 and it has been a hell of a ride

Posted by: mchef766

Good Luck to all of those beginning the 48th MPOC today. Enjoy your day today at Memorial Hall and remember it only gets better.....

Posted by: Piper

I saw another Class started @ the Ply Academy yesterday. Any idea how many recuits are in it?

Posted by: Mitpo62

Memorial Hall on day one? Oh noooooo..........

Posted by: 48mpoc

There are 44 of us, mostly from New Bedford and Fall River. Tommorow makes one week down and 20 to go. To/Froms are a pain though!!!

Posted by: kojack1

Get used to it. I graduated from the Plymouth Academy and I had one every night. They have a couple that are standard in every classs, patch history, importance of shining boots for example. You will be writing every day. I used a couple of ink cartidges and a lot of paper

Posted by: 48mpoc

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I should stock up on ink and paper now!!!

Posted by: Opie

And don't forget to Study those Spelling Words! Esp..When Mota is giving the Test!
K-H-A-K-I
S-E-R-G-E-A-N-T
