somebody always has to complain about a detail. I think the the crime watch is right in hiring a detail. BPD is way to bust to be in chinatown 24/7

I think it's a great idea. On more than one occassion while passing through Chinatown on a cold Boston night, I was followed by a man saying "You can taste it." I can only imagine he was referering to the cocaine he was selling and not a 3am bake sale. The 32.50 or whatever the detail rate is, is a bargain to have an officer committed to the neighborhood to adress the issues that the patrolling citizens would normally have to call the station and hope for time to open up for a patrolling unit to investigate. I just hope the bikes keep it safe and stay away from Tony Heroin Dealer.
