These stories about repeat drunken-driving cases appeared in The Patriot Ledger in the past week:
In Hingham District Court, Karen Powell, 45, of 55 Chickatawbut St., Boston, pleaded innocent to second-offense drunken driving. She was released by Judge Patrick Hurley on her promise to return to court Aug. 8. Rockland police issued a complaint against Powell on March 21.
Dimas E. Delvalle, 31, of 24B Smith St., Boston, was given a 90-day suspended sentence and two years probation by Judge Ronald Moynahan after pleading guilty to second-offense drunken driving. Judge Moynahan also ordered Delvalle to attend 14-day inpatient treatment and pay fines.
State Police assigned to the Norwell barracks charged Delvalle on Dec. 12.
Gregory J. Breen, 34, of 10 Dickerman Lane, Braintree, pleaded innocent in Plymouth District Court to second-offense drunken driving. He was released on his promise to return to court Aug. 1.
Pembroke police charged him with the offense June 16.
Also in Plymouth, Lawrence K. Brown, 54, of 280 North St., Duxbury, was found innocent of fourth-offense drunken driving. Marshfield police charged Brown with the offenses Aug. 6.
James M. Glynn, 42, of 157 Standish St., Marshfield, pleaded guilty to third offense drunken driving. Judge Gregory Baler sentenced him to 2 years in jail, with six months to serve and the balance suspended for two years.
Marshfield police charged Glynn with the offense April 19, 2007.
