Her Purse Was Stolen While At Amusement Park

WATERBURY, Conn. -- A local woman had her Blackberry stolen then received threatening text messages from the thieves, police said Friday.

Christie Gray and Randy Donald, of Bridgeport, have been charged with stealing a woman's purse at an amusement park, police said.

The victim, Cynthia Kaplan, said she got distracted dealing with her crying son, and that’s when her purse was stolen.

“It was automatic panic,” said Kaplan. “Not only was my wallet and phone and so forth (stolen), but so were my car keys. Not only did I not have my personal belongings, but no way to get my children home.”
By the time she got home after someone picked her up at the park, Kaplan said the thieves had already gone shopping with her credit cards in Waterbury and had spent more $1,000.

“Within 30 minutes of them obtaining my wallet, they had already spent $1,500 at the Brass Mill Mall,” Kaplan said.

If the BB was stolen, how exactly did she receive the menacing text messages? Maybe e-mail I suppose, but they could have elaborated a bit in the article.

Yea it must have been to her email account, but why didnt the news article tell us that.
