LITCHFIELD, Conn. (AP) - The brother of a former state trooper who fatally shot his wife and himself outside a Middletown courthouse has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill his wife.
Forty-1-year-old Bruce Bochicchio (boh-KEEK'-ee-oh), a retired Waterbury police officer, turned himself in to state police Thursday. Bochicchio was arraigned and bond has been set at $1 million.
The judge also imposed an order forbidding Bochicchio from coming within 100 yards of his wife or returning to the family home.
His brother, Michael Bochicchio fatally shot his wife, Donna, and seriously injured her attorney, Julie Porzio, in 2005.
In addition to the threatening charge, Bochicchio is facing weapons charges.
Police say a search of Bochicchio's Morris home turned up 11 weapons, including two fully automatic submachine guns.
