WASHINGTON -- Authorities say corrections officers used pepper spray to subdue 35 inmates who refused to return to their cells at the District of Columbia jail. There were no major injuries in the Monday clash and the jail was not on lockdown. Corrections officials say two inmates began fighting during dinner Sunday evening, delaying the meals until about 9 p.m. Thirty-five inmates complained about the temperature of their food and didn't obey orders to return to their cells. Spokesman Anthony Diallo (dee-AH'-loh) said the inmates did not use weapons. The disturbance ended about 3:15 a.m. Diallo said the inmates involved in the fight and those who refused to comply with orders to return to their cells could face disciplinary action.

Boo-freakin'-hoo!! I worked an 18-hour shift yesterday, mostly outside with temps around a balmy 115 degrees in the afternoon (low of 80, lol) and the one opportunity I had to pick up something to eat was quickly interrupted by yet another knucklehead who decided to beat the piss out of someone. It was an hour before I could touch my then-congealed lunch. Piss off, damn whiny criminals!!
