In Pennsylvania dozens of agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives confiscated several truckloads of fireworks Thursday during a daylong raid of a Mt. Pleasant Township residence and several tractor-trailers on the property. Federal agents from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and members of the Pennsylvania State Police Firearms Trafficking Task Force participated in the raid at the Howard "Howie" McCloy residence at 437 Bridgeport St., just outside of Mt. Pleasant in the village of Bridgeport.
ATF Special Agent John T. Hageman of Philadelphia, who was at the scene, said all federal warrants related to the search and seizures were sealed in U.S. District Court "because the investigation is ongoing." He declined further comment.
A law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the investigation involves the sale of fireworks. McCloy, 61, could not be reached for comment at home.

Most of McCloy's neighbors were tight-lipped about the federal raid, watching from their porches and back yards as the trucks passed along the gravel drive next to the residence to several trailers at the rear of the property.
"You probably won't get too many people to talk, but I'll tell you what. ... I think the police should have better things to do, with the judges leaving pedophiles out of jail and all the drug dealers in town. Here's a poor guy making a few bucks ... and they send all these police here," said Carol Kunkle, of 439 Bridgeport St.
Another neighbor said agents took "several truckloads of fireworks" from the house, and later in the afternoon moved on to confiscate fireworks from the trailers.
He said an ambulance twice was summoned to the property to treat McCloy, who reportedly was transported to Excela Health Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant later in the afternoon, according to neighbors.
