MILFORD —
An 18-year-old Bellingham man pleaded guilty yesterday at Milford District Court to secretly videotaping two girls in his bedroom.
Kevin Dunn, of 74 Highridge Road, was sentenced to three years' supervised probation after pleading guilty to five counts of photographing an unsuspecting nude person.
Police said Dunn videotaped "sexually revealing situations" of the two victims from a Creative Web camera he set up in his bedroom.
The victims, both Franklin High School students, were in his room and were either nude or partially nude, police said.
The tapes were recorded without the girls' knowledge or consent, said Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Karlin.
Karlin, who said she viewed the tapes with Bellingham detectives, called the recordings "disturbing, upsetting and degrading."
"I can't imagine (why) this occurred," she said.
Dunn used the Web camera on several occasions, from May 2007 to October 2007, she said.
Citing Dunn's lack of criminal record and future plans, his attorney, Stephen Kenney, asked Judge Robert Calagione for leniency.
"It was a foolish, immature act on his part," Kenney said.
Kenney said Dunn is remorseful.
"This will inevitably follow him and hang over his head for the rest of his life," he said.
The maximum penalty for such charges could carry 2 1/2 years in the House of Correction. Prosecutors did not ask the judge to impose jail time.
Karlin instead recommended a lengthy period of probation.
"We need to make sure no other female is violated or disrespected like this again," she said.
Calagione called Dunn's actions reprehensible.
"I can't understand what went through his mind," he said. "Mr. Dunn has to pay a price."
Dunn, who recently graduated from Franklin High School, plans to attend Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., in the fall.
Calagione said Dunn must be on supervised probation through most of his time at school. His probation will carry through 2011.
He must also remain alcohol- and drug-free and only use a computer for educational purposes.

DUH??? MySpace, Youtube, YouPorn, etc etc. These kids are strung out on technology. They see no consequence for using it in any manner. These sites have just taken over the lives of people under 25......

If the internet disappeared entirely for one whole week you'd see these kids linedup like Zombies at Starbucks suffering from withdrawal.

I agree with the Myspace under 25 crap. It has gotten to the point that people are so obsessed with it, its retarded. I can't stand any of that crap, its misuse of a computer. I'm considered a computer wiz by some people because I can actually use the library website to search for books and magazines!
