In Manchester, NH A former nursing home employee is accused of charging purchases to a deceased patient's credit card and taking $1,400 from an elderly patient's bank account to pay her bills.
Nadeige Vilgrain, 22, of 11 Barr St., Apartment 2, a former employee of Mount Carmel Nursing Home, is charged with theft by deception and three counts of identity fraud.
Among the items charged was a $305 pair of shoes, according to court records.
VILGRAIN

Police began an investigation into the thefts in April after a woman called to report unauthorized charges on her late mother's credit card. The woman was reviewing her mother's finances when she discovered the purchases, which included boots, shoes and a computer cable.
According to court documents, detectives interviewed Vilgrain May 9 about the credit card purchases and she admitted using the card for online purchases and turned over a pair of boots she'd purchased.
Police said Vilgrain told them she was fired for stealing cash from a co-worker's purse. They were able to determine Vilgrain had worked at the nursing home from June 27, 2007, until March 27, 2008, the day the credit card theft victim died.
As detectives were investigating the fraudulent credit card use, nursing home administrators told them another resident, an 80-year-old man, may have been victimized as well.
Police said Vilgrain accessed the man's bank account and electronically transferred more than $1,400 to pay five utility bills. Among those was nearly $800 in Comcast charges, according to court papers.
