A man who was Tasered by Meriden Police died early Friday morning.
Meriden Police were called to an apartment 703 in the Community Towers around 11:30 pm. Thursday night for a threatening complaint. The officers heard noise coming from Apt. 703. Officers entered and were met with a combative male, identified by police as Donavan Graham, 35. A violent struggle ensued. The officers requested help, and attempted to Taser the man with no effect. Eventually, the man was restrained.
Shortly after that, police say he suffered from an undetermined medical condition.
He was rushed to Mid State Hospital where he later died.
This is the second reported taser involved death in two days. Yesterday a man in Birmingham, Alabama died after officers tased him during a drug arrest struggle.

A 35 yom, tasered "with no effect", but somehow the taser is immediately to blame? How about the massive amounts of PCP or whatever other chemical he was likely on? "Undetermined" medical condition...kinda leaves it wide open. Nice how the AP draws conclusions.

I believe that's the 2nd time a person was "killed by a tazer" in Meriden within the last year.
