A dancer hired to entertain a Magnolia resident and his roommates late Sunday night showed up with two gun-toting bodyguards who robbed the place, pistol-whipped one of the men, and locked them all in a basement bathroom, police said.
Shortly after midnight, a 911 call came in reporting the armed robbery on the 3800 block of 23rd Avenue West, said police department spokesman Jeff Kappel.
The homeowner, roommates and some of his friends had been robbed at gunpoint inside the house, he said.
It's unclear what was stolen, he said.
The three robbers, described as in their 20s, then forced the men into a basement bathroom and locked the door. They left the house and fled in a gray four-door sedan, he said.
The man who was pistol-whipped on the side of his head was treated by fire personnel and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police are searching for the robbers.
