Fall River —
Police are offering a cash reward for any information on a knife-wielding bandit who robbed Honey Dew Donuts, 125 Broadway, this week.
Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Mauretti said Officer Faith Amaral responded to an armed robbery call on Tuesday at about 1 p.m.
The female cashier told police a man ordered a coffee, then brandished a knife and demanded that money from two registers be placed in a bag, Mauretti said. The cashier complied and the man fled south on Broadway.
The bandit was described as white, in his late 30s or early 40s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, thin build, with brown hair, receding hair line, wearing a navy blue shirt and black jeans.
Major Crimes Division Detective Lawrence Ferreira is investigating.
Mauretti said the department is “providing a cash reward for any information concerning the identity of the suspect.”
He said tipsters can call 508-672-TIPS or MCD at 508-324-2796.
