SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield man will be arraigned in court Thursday morning after sending state troopers on a wild chase Wednesday night. It started around 11:30 p.m. when a man refused to stop on Route 291 after he was caught allegedly speeding.
The driver of the Chevy Tahoe got off Route 91 at Exit 9 Plainfield Street and continued to lead state police through side streets. State Trooper Mark Weiner said that at one point the Tahoe ran a cruiser off the road, but thankfully no one was hurt.
The chase ended when 38-year-old Miguel Guadalupe pulled into his driveway on Newland Street. He has been charged with operating under the influence and driving without a license.
