WEYMOUTH —
Yarmouth investigators found a Weymouth police badge among a cache of items believed stolen during a string of car break-ins.
Police in the Cape Cod town said that about 50 vehicles were broken into during the Memorial Day weekend. On Tuesday, officers stopped a car in which they found some of the stolen items. A search of another vehicle and a home turned up the Weymouth badge and a handicapped parking placard, among several other stolen items.
Weymouth Police Capt. Brian Callahan said this morning that he was not aware that a badge was missing, or had been recovered.
Police arrested Yarmouth residents Nicholas Furtado, 17, Ryan Furtado, 19, Richard Hagerty, 25, and Arpad Voros Jr. They were held on bail after pleading innocent.
