I was just wondering if any of you guys could give me info about Mount Holyoke College campus police. I'm most curious about morale, facility, uniforms, union/no union, equipment, details, any chance of getting armed, and pay scale. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I inteverviewed there a couple years ago. The guys seem cool, job is cool and in a beautiful campus/neighborhood. Their log is published online so you can see what they do day to day. The chief is also the chief as Smith. He wears sandals and has a pony tail.

Accredidation is their feather in their cap. Becomming armed is next on their agenda. But, much like Smith, service oriented. Had three interviews from them for a Sergeant's position. Stopped in a few weeks after my last interview, and they rushed me out of the station to human resources to break the news to me that I didn't get the job. Yeah, OK.
Pay is good, and the people are a good group too. No union. Big alcohol problems on that campus... my neighbor was a nurse at their infirmary and they basicly worked as a drunk tank. 7-8 transports a weekend to the hospital for excessive alcohol consumption. Not that any of that tasty info leaks out to parents or anything. Seems unlikey that they'd get armed anytime soon.
