FRAMINGHAM —
Four men, including two former members of the Kendall Street Thugs gang, were arrested Tuesday night on drug charges following a traffic stop, police said.
Brendon McNeil, 20, of 37 McAdams Road, Framingham, Michael Dejion Wilder, 22, of 78 Glendale St., Boston, Azhadique Blidgen, 18, of 38B Beaver Park Road, Framingham, and Jarrod Johnson, 19, of 21 Temi Road, Holliston, were each charged with cocaine possession, police said. McNeil also faces charges of possession of marijuana, and Wilder also faces a warrant charge.
Though the four were arrested just after midnight yesterday, the incident that let to the arrests began more than hour earlier.
About 11 p.m., police said, officers answered a call from residents in the Pine Street area, who told them there was talk of a fight planned for that night.
Residents told officers a gray or silver car might be involved in the planned fight, police said, prompting a dispatcher to broadcast a description of the car.
Within minutes, officers spotted a car which matched the description and followed it to the Pine Street area. Just as officers were about to approach the car, however, two men left a house in the area and climbed into the car, police said.
Officers continued following the car, eventually pulling the driver over near George and Hollis streets.
Officers recognized McNeil and Wilder as former members of the Kendall Street Thugs, and discovered Wilder was wanted on a warrant, police said.
As officers opened the door to remove Wilder, police said, they saw what appeared to be a black, semiautomatic handgun - which turned out to be a BB gun. Officers ordered all four men from the car and searched it.
In the center console, police found a CD case containing a plastic baggie, which held three smaller baggies of crack cocaine, police said. A search of McNeil found three packets of marijuana.
