Does anyone know the current state travel expense rate per mile? Also, where could I find that info on the state web site. Thank you.

AFSCME (Council 93) rate is $.30/mile. Its written into our union conract , I have not seen it posted online.

I know some of the state agencies are using the new 2005 IRS rate which is 40.5 cents per mile.

Current IRS rate is $0.485/mile as of September 1, 2005.
You are likely to find that a particular department/company reimbursement rate is going to vary with their own policy or union contract.
Many years ago, my Wife (a teacher who covered 5 schools) was getting a rate that was 50% of what the janitors in the same town/school system got! So, there is no "one rate" that everyone gets.
