Arrest #152 For Homeless Man In NH

PORTSMOUTH,NH— Paul Baldwin is being held on $10,000 cash bail for allegedly stealing a $1.99 can of beer, and was described in the district court as "a leech on the resources of this community" because he's been arrested 152 times.
"I don't need a lawyer," Baldwin, 48, with no permanent address, told Judge Sawako Gardner. "I've been in this court more than you have."

Biggest BOP I've seen was 257 adult and a few on the juvenile.

the justice system is CLEARLY not working for this guy. Hasn't it occured to the local officers that maybe he just doesn't give a sh**. Why not try and putting him in a local program where it helps him get a job, maybe a permanent home instead of the streets. Not all of them are lost hope!
