Husband who wanted more sex is stabbed by wife with turkey fork
A WOMAN punched her husband and stabbed him with a fork after rowing about sex.
She was the so overcome with guilt she turned herself in.
Cassandra Ogden, 27, of Springfield, Sowerby Bridge, admitted the attack
after she had been for a night out with husband Kenneth Haigh, the
father of their two children.
prosecuting, told Calderdale magistrates: "They returned from the night
and had sexual intercourse. Then he wanted some more. She refused and
they started to argue.
"They both went downstairs. Ogden punched him in the head and he
pinned her to a chair to stop her attacking him.
"She then went into the kitchen and picked a large turkey fork before
approaching Mr Haigh and stabbing his shoulder.
"After the attack she phoned police to say she had assaulted her
husband."
The pair had made up and returned to bed by the time police arrived, but
despite Mr Haigh not wanting to press charges, Ogden was arrested.
Julie Brimble, defending, said: "This is a very sad case.
"She was abused by someone when she was 11 and that person is about
to be released from prison. It has made her very depressed.
"But she accepts she suffers from anger-management issues."
Ogden pleaded guilty to assault and will be sentenced on June 6.
