HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Police are asking for you help in finding one of Holyoke's most wanted. Nineteen-year-old Jose Ortiz of Holyoke is wanted for shooting two people with a sawed-off shotgun. Holyoke Police Chief Anthony Scott said Ortiz is considered to be armed and dangerous. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts you are asked to call the police at 413-322-6900.
HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - One of Holyoke's most wanted is now off the streets. Police Chief Anthony Scott said 19-year-old Jose Ortiz was wanted in connection with the shooting of two individuals with a sawed-off shotgun on May 8th. Further investigation by Holyoke detectives proved Ortiz was the shooter, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Ortiz turned himself in to police headquarters just before 5 a.m. on Saturday. He will appear in Holyoke District Court for arraignment later Monday
