WHITMAN —
A Boston teenager was hurt Thursday after he was riding on top of a car, fell off and was reportedly run over by the vehicle, police said.
The driver, Sean Carlson, 18, of Roslindale, was arrested at the scene.
Carlson is being charged with operating under the influence of alcohol with serious bodily injury, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and being a minor in possession of alcohol, according to a statement from Police Chief Christine May-Stafford.
The injured person, 18-year-old Anthony Stone of Dorchester, was taken by MedFlight to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after the crash. His condition was not known this morning.
A caller first notified police of the incident on Pine Haven Drive at 7:24 p.m., who said he saw the man riding on the outside of the car fall off and get run over.
The fire department rescue unit and the sheriff’s department responded. Whitman police officer Eric Campbell and Detective Stephen Drass are investigating.
