Officials Say Incident Occurred While Substitute On Duty
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. -- New Britain school officials say they are investigating an incident in which two middle school students were allegedly recorded on video engaging in sexual activity while in class.
School Superintendent Doris Kurtz told the Hartford Courant that the incident at the Pulaski Middle School apparently occurred while a substitute teacher was on duty.
Several students allegedly watched the sexual activity while one recorded it with a cell phone. Kurtz says she learned about the recording Wednesday, but has not viewed it and does not know when it happened, or the ages of those involved.
The substitute has told officials she was unaware of any inappropriate activity. Kurtz says that person will not work in the district again until the investigation is completed.
