BOSTON -- A teenage girl was forced out of her bed and sexually assaulted a short distance from her Dennis home on Sunday, according to the Cape Cod Times.
Officials said that the man entered the home through an unlocked door sometime after midnight and found the girl sleeping in her second-floor bedroom. The girl told police that the man, who was wearing a black mask, put a gloved hand over her mouth and forced her out of the room, the newspaper reported.
She said that the man repeatedly threatened her with a knife and told police that he assaulted her in the driveway of the home and on a grassy area near the house.
Dennis Capt. William Monahan said that the girl was able to talk the man into letting her go, and she ran home to tell her parents what happened.
The assailant was described as a white man, who is 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a medium build. The girl said that the man was wearing a dark-colored fleece jacket, light-colored pants and a dark-colored mask.
