A Romanian kindergarten teacher is in trouble after she allegedly asked a policeman to threaten her pupils with jail for being naughty.
School authorities in the county of Vrancea launched an investigation after one parent lodged an official complaint about teacher Nusa Arghene.
Ioon Popa, from Negrilesti village, wrote: "We, the parents, are outraged by the teacher's attitude.
"She brought a policeman in the class and threatened the kids they would spend the night in jail if they didn't behave. All of them are now terrified and don't want to go to the kindergarten any more."
The parent also claims the teacher shouted at and slapped some of the children before making them stand in the corner with their hands raised.
The teacher is refusing to comment but Iordache Bostan, head of the local school inspectorate, said: "We are confronted with a difficult situation here.
"The parents of the children told me they will withdraw their kids from the kindergarten if we don't punish the teacher Nusa Arghene.
"They say the little ones were traumatised when the policeman entered their class and started threatening them."
