Florida Student Arrested for Punching Teacher Over Crayons




FORT MYERS, FL -- An eight-year Florida old boy is about to get a first hand lesson in criminal justice.

The second grader was arrested for allegedly punching his teacher in the face.

An argument over crayons in the classroom ended inside a patrol car for second grader Deshawn Williams.

His wrists were in handcuffs and his teacher was badly bruised.

"He gets very upset and he loves to hit," said Deshawn's grandmother Dorothy Williams.

Dorothy says Deshawn often throws tantrums and gets physical, but never with adults.

At four feet tall and weighing only 70 pounds Deshawn may not appear threatening, yet he admits his tantrum went too far.

"I threw the chair over there and then she wants to press charges on me," said Deshawn.

Deshawn's teacher told Fort Myers police he hit several students, threw several chairs and when she tried to intervene, the boy threw several punches at her.

Deshawn says he only hit her two times and says he did not hit her in the face, but police say the teacher did in fact have bruises on her face.

"If he was overpowering her that much, I feel like she shouldn't be in that line of work," said Dorothy.

Principal Dan Perry of the Royal Palm Exceptional School refused to comment on his student's arrest.

Dorothy praises the school for Deshawn's education, but challenges the teacher's discipline methods.

"If she can't deal with him, put him in someone else's classroom. If it's a male, whatever, and let them restrain him," said Dorothy.

When's the second part of the story going to come out about how the police and school are to blame? How about lock the little f*cker up in a mental hospital? I'm sure his behavior has nothing to do with his home life.

Yeah, 'cause his general behavior is soooo acceptable!

So when the male teacher restrains your precious boy, you can file a lawsuit against the school, claiming the teacher inappropriately touched him? And ditto to what Harley posted.

Savages.. Plain and simple. Savages... One more Willie Bosket type savage society will have to deal with. No I don't think therapy/treatment/meds/counseling/coddeling/handholding/welfare/et al will work on this lil bastard. Put him and his family down like the curs they are....
