Tampa Woman's 911 Calls Answered With Arrest

TAMPA - A Tampa woman who has called 911 about 20 times since March 22 dialed the number again this morning to report her CD player was bugged and that her mobile home park was listening to her, Hillsborough County deputies say.
When a deputy came to the scene and wouldn't listen to her radio, she called 911 again.
Deputies arrested Denise Ann Dean, 36, at 1:35 a.m. at 14011 N. Nebraska Ave., Lot 39.
She was charged with making a false 911 call, a misdemeanor.
She remained in Falkenburg Road Jail today. Her bail was set at $500.
In a separate incident this morning, University of South Florida police officers arrested a Tampa man they say made harassing phone calls to their station.
Jacob N. Jones, 24, called USF's station about 20 times after he received a traffic summons Tuesday, a criminal arrest affidavit states.
Jones told police during the calls that he repeatedly would call to make up for the amount of the ticket, according to the affidavit.
Police arrested Jones at 3:33 a.m. He is a student and lives on campus, where he was arrested, the jail's Web site shows.
The charge against him, harassing telephone calls, is a misdemeanor.
Jones remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail was set at $250.

I think every town has one or two.....

Back when I used to dispatch, I would have one of the regular 911 callers call because she wanted a glass of water or to change the batteries in her TV remote.
