Officers at the MA DMH Police are truly sick of the way we are ignored by our union and our lack of representation. WE NEED HELP!!!! Does anybody have any ideas of what we can do to get some help and make some changes? We want training and are tired of being walked on!!!!!!!

Petition the state for a decertification vote and associate with another union.

You should hope that MCLEA, representing the State and Community colleges, get to sever from AFSCME. If this happens then you guys could probably do as Delta suggested and join their ranks.

AFSCME does really suck when it comes to representing Cops/L.E./Corrrections/Public safety. Council 93 has this annoying habit of fighting hard and then giving at least something away at arbitration.
If you have a 30 day suspension absolutely without merit, they'll play the game for months and talk tough, then in the end try to sell you on a reduction to three days! Or you can get a five day suspension reduced to one day, after two years of haggling. Council#93/Local1067 paraded Off. Cordiero around a few years back when they fought for him to get CPO I from his ISO III. You'll never hear about the dozen or so SERIOUS losses or failures to represent. "fast freddie" and his cronies at Massasoit should be run out of there. I wonder how well "bobby" is doing for the crew at Bunker Hill?
What a bunch of garbage...

Remember with AFSCME Council#93, everybody comes away a winner...
problem is you come away a loser too!

GO MCLEA!!!!!!!!!!!
