Two Arrested at UMass Boston

An individual was arrested by UMass Boston Campus Police and charged with four crimes after he was stopped for speeding on University Drive South on March 27. The individual, Samson Camille, 18 of Everett, was pulled over for speeding when police discovered that he did not have a license. A subsequent search revealed Camille to be in possession of a large amount of marijuana in small, individually packaged plastic bags. Camille was then charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, use of a motor vehicle without authority, and possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.

The next day, Faheed M Salameh, 33 of Quincy, was also pulled over for speeding on University Drive South and found to not have a driver's license. An inventory of the car revealed a large amount of marijuana and Salameh was arrested. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and possession of a Class D substance.

Lesson to be learned for Messrs. Camille and Salameh; do your speeding, driving without a license, and other assorted traffic offenses at private colleges & universities where you get a free pass.

2nd lesson, if your going to drive without a license and transport significant quantities of class D, than do the fricken speed limit and obey all rules of the road.

No free passes here. All violators must face the firing squad!

Unless they're driving all over the road and causing people to leap from the street and run in fear, then you have Disorderly Conduct and it's not ch. 90. I locked a guy up years ago for spinning and screeching his tires and once we stopped him found him to have a double bladed axe, a billy club (taken from his dad) and a nice blackjack made from electrical cable. We charged him with Disorderly Conduct and possession of weapons while committing a breach of the peace. We won in court and it wasn't the most cop friendly judge in the world.

Hats off to the UMB. I'm well aquainted with a number of them and they're very good people.
