I am looking for information on BU Medical Center's public safety team, what the job entails, how people like it, what are the working conditions like?

research the old threads or PM Kosmo he knows all about BMC... They just got a new Boss... A retired MSP Det. There might be alot of good changes to that Dept. Good luck

Well I certainly don't know all about it, but I did have some pretty informative and humorous PM's from some of the boys who work over there..
At the very least it appears you would not be bored working there...

Here is a past thread that might give you some good info H2O...

Go for it. There are positives and negatives at this place, just like every other job. For a young guy its great because the pay is good, plenty of overtime available, ability to gain police powers. The new director is a former MSP Lt. Det. New uniforms in '09. They might start you out on the overnights which is a downer.

Job is good, there are a variety of posts from patrols to access control. Pay starts at 15.87. There is an 80 cent differential for evenings and 90 cent for overnight. Unlimited amount of ot to be worked.
