SAN DIEGO --
A man suspected in a shooting in the Skyline area is under arrest, following a SWAT standoff.
The San Diego Police Department said Jerry McCluney, 23, was wanted in connection with a shooting that took place earlier in the day.
According to authorities, police received a call from a man shortly before noon who said he'd been shot. When they arrived, officials said the victim, identified as Brian Gooden, 47, had been shot multiple times.
Gooden told police that McCluney allegedly entered his home in the 6400 block of Edmonds Street and shot him. Authorities believe McCluney was holed up in a home across the street.
Police set up a SWAT operation around the home, shutting down several streets. Eventually, police determined McCluney was not in the home.
He was arrested hours later without incident at a different location in Skyline, according to police. McCluney was found in a home in the 600 block of O'Meara Street.
The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive his injuries.
