Gen. 2 Glock ....rail mounts?

I've seen it before in a magazine but I can't find it again. Anyone know where I can get rails for my Gen. 2 glock. More specifically Im looking for the ones you glue on not the one that goes on your trigger guard. I want to put on the blackhawk light and beable to put in a serpa tac holster. Thanks!

First thing first, is this sidearm going to be used as a duty weapon? If so, I would not rely on anything be add to your glock using glue to secure it. I am a Glock armorer & I am not aware of any rail add on kit using glue, if there is one dont know if it is a good idea. The right way to go if you want a rail system is to send it to reputable company that deals with Glock product and have one permanently molded to your frame. But its not cheap. One company that I know of and have delt with can totally reshape the whole frame. If you are interested in this route let me know and I can post the info.

please, for the safety of the public, turn in your LTC and request a desk job.

i was a smartass at birth, everyday since and with my first post here. why change something thats working for me

why dont you just buy a g3 glock and not have to worry about things falling off. or you can go the gorilla glue route. either way...

If it falls off inside a holster, the holster may no longer retain the weapon. Keep that in mind as well.

Kev- Problem with buying a G3 since the dept wont supply it is if i use it, it will be siezed and who knows when ill get it back...its also another $500 +/- i dont have to spend right now.

Frank- I actually have the blackhawk triple ret. serpa duty holster now without the light attached. The weapon does not move around at all. I do know what you mean though...I believe the uncle mikes tac/light holster would not work if you dont have the light on it.

I like chargers recomendation the best with the remolding of the weapon.

GTG then...I don't think the Safariland RLS and Raptor will retain the weapon in a level 3 (or possibly even 2) condition without the light attached.

Well i found the glue mount one I was talking about, it actually is screwed. Anyways, it would take up more room and not fit in the holster so I would need to have the weapon remolded or buy a new one anyways.

Sorry it took so long to get back 209. But here is the info you were looking for. The company is The Robar Companies Inc. their web site is www.robarguns.com/glockhtm . I have had a couple of guns worked on by this company and they are awesome. I had my Glock 19 redone by them. I had the rail added on and the cocking serration to the front of the slide add. I also had all the metal finishes redone with NP3. A lubeless finish, never have to use gun oil again. The gun in the photo is basically what I had done. But I kept my grip stock, did not have it reshaped and did not have the extended beaver tail added either. But I did have the trigger guard rounded. That is the NP3 finish in the photo. So check out their web page and products think this will solve your problem. If you have any question get back and hopefully I can help.

Charger- they said they don't do the re-molding anymore... Oh well. Thanks for getting back to me.

The problem is that it takes up too much room, i bought one of those mounts and it wont fit in the holster....

Can you just by the gen 3 glock frame?

No, unfortunately, the frame is in fact the "firearm", as far as the ATF is concerned, and Glock doesn't sell the frames alone. Probably your best bet is to sell your Glock and take the cash to buy a newer one, or trade yours in for a newer one.

Have you tried safariland tactical holsters? They seem like they could handle the mount plus a light.

Here's another product from Brownell's that might help, although it requires permanent modification to your weapon.
