The World's Most Dangerous Street Gang

news.bbc.co.uk — Vicious street gangs, committed to violence, have spread throughout the Americas and are now a significant threat in the US. MS-13 - or Mara Salvatrucha - is the biggest and fastest-growing of the Latin American street gangs. In Maryland alone, MS-13 members are accused of being responsible for a long series of violent crimes including murder.

Watched two documentary's, one on the History Channel and one on National Geographic. These guys are no joke. I know there have been sweeps by ICE and local P.D.s to scoop these guys up in this area, they haven't infected this area as bad as they have in D.C. and Maryland, yet. Also The History Channel has a great show called Gangland and it details various street and prison gangs from all over the country. Really interesting stuff, also you can find the programs under ON DEMAND, under History Channel, National Geographic, and Discovery Channel.

These clowns favor cutting off limbs as a message...dont really give a shit about going to the clink. SCARRY

If anybody wants to meet some of them, come on out to Los Angeles and I'll introduce you. MS-13 started right down the street from my police station. I spoke to a couple of them tonight.

If any of you guys are looking to learn about them because they're entering your jurisdiction, feel free to let me know. I'm currently in charge of our gang unit and one of the biggest gangs in my area is MS. If I could figure out how to post pictures on here I could put up a bunch of their graffiti that they've put on the walls and their tattoos, which are all over their bodies.

Mike e-mail me the pics and I will put them up

I bumped into 1 member last year in Worcester. He had "MS13" carved into the back of his scalp. Kind of spooky.

Where in Worcester? Like cockroaches where there's one there's more. And like cockroaches the only answer is extermination....

We got them in Stamford now...they are damn proud of it too.

One of my co-workers uncle was killed by MS down in their home country...watch out for these guys, they won't think twice about killing a cop.

Hi Harry,
I apologize, I somehow missed this. Would you like me to e-mail them to the address in your signature line?

He's supposed to be making an "M" with his fingers.

M can stand for Mara and or Eme, which is Spanish for the letter M. It is also La Eme, which is the Mexican Mafia.

Here's some local MS graffiti.
The PV stands for the street Park View, which is the clique they are from. The LS stands for locos.

Here is some graffiti of MS' rivals, 18th street.

This is an 18th Street guy, rival of MS. Note the 666 on his head, the 666 adding up to 18, not the devil stuff!

Just thought I'd throw in the armored car that SWAT would use to handle a major barricade should MS have some big weapons. Looks kinda cool!

And last but not least, here's a picture of one of our helicopters, which we use every day when setting up perimeters and vehicle and foot pursuits of suspects, including MS guys.

MS 13 stands for Mara Salvatrucha I guess the 13 means bad luck

Mara= is a spanish name of "Gang"

Salvatrucha= means "Salvadoran Army Ant" or "Salvadoran Guerilla"

El Salvador in the 1970s and 1980s had a civil war resulting in renagade military personnel practicing in criminal activity.

MS 13 in the U.S. started out as a gang in LA to combat the other gangs like the Crips, Bloods, other mexican gangs etc.

Irish,
The number 13 has nothing to do with bad luck. 13 respresents the letter M because it is the 13th letter in the alphabet.

M in this case stands for two things, Mara for their gang name and Eme. Eme is the letter M in Spanish. All Hispanic gangs out here fall under the purview of La Eme, which is the Mexican Mafia. They too are a very brutal and ruthless gang, mostly in prisons. No gang wants to disrespect La Eme, for they will cut their throats as soon as they hit the prisons, which most gangsters do at one time or another in their lifetimes.

AHH I see, now the 13 makes sence to me.
