Hello, for the sake of this question I am not going to state specifically which department I'm on, if your overly curious shoot me a pm. Anyways, just wondered what some of the more experienced guys on here think about a current situation thats been somewhat disturbing to me.
Specifically this involves our newest female rookie, those of you in very small towns already know the political side of this whole thing so I won't even get into that. She currently has the mentality that she has something to prove(go figure) however seems to be taking this far too far as of late. As soon as she arrived on the department she made it clear her only intention was to be here for a few and then try to become a trooper and that our little department was just a way for her to reach that.
Currently she does almost all the interviews for FID cards, however she also has a knack for being extremely hassling to people coming in to pickup forms, and even more so for actually interviewing people. People she doesn't like generally wait many months for even the interview, or just have their documents lost all together. Case in point, about a month ago a local 16 year old kid, came into the station wearing his Civil Air Patrol uniform after a night of drill and what not(Air Force JROTC program) to pickup his FID card forms for the upcoming hunting season. She first hassled him on the fact that he was wearing BDU's and then because of that she flat out wouldn't give him the forms, and went as far as to accuse him of breaking the law for asking for the forms.
Kids dad(lives in another town) gave me a call, I got the kid the forms and had him file them at the station in the town where his dad lives, done deal.
Second example, in my area alot of the teenage kids have lifted trucks, and do quite a bit of offroading mostly on the power line easements that run throughout the town. While this isn't legal ownership is mostly disputed and we don't have the resouces or vehicles to effectively police those easements and we usually take a hands off approach as we all know how little there is for that sort of activity and in my opinion no real harm is being done out there. Anyways, when I was out one night, I ran into one of the guys on my department who had been involved in a incident with this same female. Apparently a kid in a lifted cherokee had been driving out there, and after that had driven down to a local ponds sand parking lot where he then took a drive through a "mudhole" that always forms there.
Anyways, said officer charged this 17 year old kid with felony reckless driving, property destruction, trespassing and then tried to have the kids jeep impounded. You heard me right, charging a minor with a felony moving violation amongst other things for driving on a dirt road, and then taking his car through a large puddle. She also tried to get the DPW to make the kids pay for any damage done and they flat out told her, the kids didn't do anything us and we aren't going to waste our time trying to get money out of them.
Third, shes got the rookie mentality of pull over everything, while its understandable she takes it to a new level. In a small town you generally know who the troublemakers are, and rarely do many on my department pull people over for minor things just because. She has told people on my department that she makes it case and point to stop guys going to work in the morning for as little as 5 over just to "make sure." I'm sorry but I am not a fan of writing tickets anyways, but I would never think about giving a tired guy usually in a company truck a bunch of shit at 6:30 in the morning while hes trying to work, He'd have to be doing 15+ for me to stop him.
A highway runs almost directly through our town, 4 lanes merging into 2 upon entry into either of the neighboring towns. At each of the town lines we have areas where we are taught as rookies, this is where you turn around on the highway. Avoid U-turns unless pursuing someone as with 4 lanes it often frightens people and has caused accidents in the past. She entirely disregards this and instead of taking the minute to stop, turn properly turn around she pulls random u-turns for no real reason in the middle of traffic usually causing frantic lane changes by the others on the road.
Anyways, my town is highly political and my departments leadership is relatively ineffective, however me and some other officers are becoming highly concerned by the way this officer is conducting herself. I am however uneasy about confronting her about the stuff she is doing on her shift, or during her stops etc as it feels like I would be crossing a boundary, on the otherhand I feel it is my duty to say something to her. I dont know, help me out guys.
Thanks,
Xbreaka

This story seems a little fishy to me. The way it's written leads me to believe you were the one who was stopped for off roading and you are the in the BDU's. I would think, giving the impression that you are tying to imply, that you are a seasond vet of this department, you would know how to deal with the situation other than to come here and ask.
In fact, this reply of yours makes me raise the
even further......

Have her log in and read your post and ask if this person sounds familiar. Seems to me that Dear Abby does this and it seems to work for her. You just never know what reaction you might get.

No cop would post on a public forum to sh*t another cop...any real cop would handle it in-house by talking to the person.
Also I find it hard to believe a police officer would accuse another of being a "maverick"...aspiring journalist?
Take your trolling on the arches, kid.

Hey Csauce, this kid looks wicked familier! We ever deal with him, maybe an older brother? I think we may have locked him or his brother up one night at the town hall parking lot if memory serves me correctly. Must have been brother cause he woulda been a little too young. Just curious if he looks familier to you too. Really curious to get a last name on him. And yes, if anyone was wondering, I did a summer in the lovely little nook of Wellfleet

First off, BRAVO to our illustrious detectives for outing that dipshit! I figured ignoring him/her/it was the best course of action. I stand corrected. Finding out who he was and showing him up was a brilliant stratagy, the little turd.
Second, if people squeaze a lemon into beer, why not an orange.
Third, I don't squeaze fruit into beer. The only additive is a nice large shot of Canadian Mist.
Fourth, Sam Adams, in my humble opinion doesn't make a bad beer. The Triple Bok of a few years back was a big disapointment (especially at the outragous price) but it wasn't bad, per se.
Beer is one of the best topics that can be discussed anywhere! Cheers and God Bless the man who invented brewing!

Apologies everyone,
I dont know if I can make up for the intense fuck up here
I threw my integrity out the window with that post, figured I could make up some sort of elaborate story to find out what the deal is with this certain officer. It was wrong of me on many levels to post what I did, I tried to edit the post about 15 mintues after it was deleted. I appreciate what all of you guys do, honestly I was just in a horrible mood after I did something wrong and got what i deserved from the cop in question. The officer isnt from wellfleet either. It was a impulsive not though about response, and I didn't realize at that split moment that this was probably the worst possible place to try and make up some sort of story like that to try and get advice.
I dont know what else to say, I want to pursue a military career, which you can see with some of the google results. Needless to say, considering the dumbass move I did posting that crap here, is certainly a wake up call to how someone should value their integrity.
I've asked the mods to remove my post, and remove my account from the forums. I apologize for disrespecting your brotherhood, and hope that some of you can forgive me for what I did. Thats really all I can offer
Sincerely sorry,

Integrity? what integrity, u want to go in the military well good luck b/c in any branch you need to have intergrity and i don't see anything that says im going to have your back when shit hits the fan, so if you want to go in the military i suggest that you straighten out your f*cking attitude, and get some intergrity.
BTW you have to have integrity to throw it out the window!
Well guys atleast he has a couple things right,
Huge F*CK up
Got what he was asking for from the cop, and US
And he knows that anything on the internet can be found!
and HE F*CKED WITH THE WRONG PEOPLE~!
I hope you have learned from this but apology DENIED!
I hope you also understand that the next time you f*ck up that every cop is going to screw you to the wall with everything that they can find on you! so if i were you i would clean up my act fast!

I don't believe the apology was sincere, but I think we made our point. I'm in favor of closing the thread, however, I believe his posts should remain to forever live in google land!

I think the apology was not sincere. Ellis is seemingly attempting to cover his ass now that he realizes that if he ever is found by someone on this site who read his post he will get nailed to the cross for his stupidity. It's to late Ellis you dug yourself a deep hole on this one good luck getting out.
Posted by: SinePari
Hey X, the I hope the lesson you take away from this is that once you hit that submit button, EVERYTHING you put on the internet stays there forever. Your electronic footprint will come back to haunt you when you want to get that career going. I'm sure some of the people here have had the, "no Lt, that's not me on masscops" conversation.
Some employers (police, military, Microsoft, EMC, Genzyme, etc) will pay someone to do an electronic background invest and find all your shit. Myspace is the biggest killer for 20-somethings who are screwing around trying to figure out what they want to do with their lives. Unfortunately it's a place for "attention whores", like somebody else coined.
I say keep the thread open because the topic of beer hijacked it.

Not too smart making these remarks on this open forum, about as dumb as Xbreakas dumb remarks, as it isn't too hard to figure out who 142 is in Brewster. You don't want to stand tall before the man.

i hear what your saying, but Im not afraid to stand in front of the man in this instance. This officer in question is a very very close personal friend of mine. And for some punk kid to come on here and pose as one of us, he needs to know what the fallout could be. Thanks for your concern, and be safe out there.

I misspoke, I was angry after a offroading incident in harwich with a couple friends. I had heard stories about this officer in eastham and I made my post using her as the target of my anger. I got what I deserved in harwich but the officer in eastham wasn't a part of that.
I made this clear to the Sgt aswell that I have never met, or had any interaction with the eastham officer besides hearing things from people.

OK you little twit, this will be you penance... You go to the SGT you bashed an apologize to her. You then wash all the police cruisers inside and out. You then write a 5 page essay on slander and ones liability thereof. You may not have a record now but you will......lesson learned don't F#@K with the POLICE!!!!! Paper will be due April 22 nd by 5:00pm PM me and I will give you address you can mail it too.

Please please no post that can be taken in a threatening manner... The last thing I need is some co calling up asking for ip addresses etc... Trust me it would not be the first time.
X you screwed up, no doubt about that. I think you know that and I'm willing to close this and delete the entire thread (will split the beer section and make a new one
) but I first want the email from the victim in this incident stating that you actually apologized for your actions.
Although I like the car washing idea
We'll see how this goes....
BTW it's gil@masscops.com

XbreakaX, though others may seize this opportunity to thoroughly thrash you on the forums,(and you do desreve it) I would like to offer a few sincere words for you. In this line of work, reputation is everything. Police Officers (most of us) hold integrity to the highest degree. The public in turn, holds OUR integrity to a much higher standard than others. Judges and Attorneys also hold us to a much higher standard than a civilian. A Police Officer with a tarnished reputation has a tarnished career. I have witnessed more than one instance where some loudmouth douchebag went out of his/her way to tarnish an Officer's reputation. I have seen Officers lose respect, peace of mind, and even careers over petty bullshit such as the trash that you posted. So it comes as no surprise that you pissed off members of this forum. I was pretty irritated myself after reading that trash. In short, I hope that this has been a learning experience for you. I also hope that you get down on both knees and BEG that Officer that you attempted to trash for forgiveness. You OWE her that. You have no idea the magnitude of the sin that you have committed here. Personally, I doubt the sincerity of your apology, and I view it more as seeking forgivness to save your own hide......but I hope that you learn something from this.

I agree with Harley. Slander has no place on this website or out in the "real world." X, If you nut-up and go apologize to that officer and ask for her forgiveness, I think you'll have made amends. You're young and clearly foolish; hopefully you'll learn from this little internet fiasco and won't do this type of thing ever again. Integrity and honesty should be the foundation of everyone's moral code (sadly, they aren't), but it is a must for those in law enforcement. Now go and sin no more.

I have to admit, given the circumstances of this thread, I have been overly impressed with some of the posts on here for being so well put. It really does show how much integrity all of you really have. "X", pay attention to the advice given and realize that this IS the true meaning of integrity. Its one thing to sit here and talk about it all day, its when you actually read a post that embraces the sheer meaning of integrity without ever seeing the word that makes it true. I will be the first to admit that my posts might have been a little over the top. But I will be damned if a junior in high school is gonna come onto this site, portray himself as a fellow officer, and completely bash one of my close personal friends that does her job and does it well. Especially for something that didnt even concern her and you said youve never met. I hope that you do apologize and I hope it is sincere, because you should know now that Officers will be very quick to pull the B.S. card if we smell it, just like you posting on here. I also just wanted to thank everyone who has posted, it means a lot to me, and especially the officer in question, that the thin blue line got a little thicker on this one. I look forward to this being over as soon as possible, but i will miss some of the comments, lol. Be safe out there.

You have taken a page out of the Democrat playbook..."I misspoke". You should run for office. Nobody knows what to believe now. As Koz said you're shoveling against the tide now and as long as you keep posting, guys are gonna keep flaming you (so go away).

BPD.. that sounds familiar. Looks like plagiarism!

I still don't think that Ellis is being sincere, just trying to cover his rear. I also honestly doubt his intentions on going to the pd and speaking to the officer who he was speaking about.
Although on a sidenote Ellis might have a bright future writing articles for the Telegram and Gazette. Him and Clive Mcfarlen would make a great duo.

WELL PUT HARLEY! Ellis, you spoke of interest in the military...I can assure you what Harley says applies to the military as well, especially if yor thinking about any of the high speed units.
I hope youve learned something from all of this and I sincerely hope this thread disappears (Gil is a straight shooter...that whole integrity thing) and it will IF YOU DO AS YOUVE SAID YOU WOULD.

Lol as soon as I read that last sentence the first person I thought of was Captain Ray Eugenio. I would love for the good ol Captain to give X a tongue lashing on integrity...

The thread will be closed when the visit is made to Eastham PD by Xbreaka,
and apologies are made and MassCops is notified by the Eastham PD or the officer involved.Till then it stays open.

I am in indirect contact with the officer involved, I feel that this thread will disappear soon enough. I will close the postings on it for now and it will be deleted fairly soon.
Now to separate the beer postings....

to all my friends / brothers / sisters
Thank you all for standing by me in this forum! It was a shock when a friend told me this was on here. Like Ellis said, I had nothing to do with any of these incidents and have never met him before our meeting the other day when he apologized.
I would like everyone to know that Ellis did come to my dept on wed 4/16/08 to meet me and discuss the forum. We spoke for a period of time and got everything out that was on each others minds. At the end of it all I feel Ellis was sincere in his apology. On two separate occassions he looked me in the eyes and said he was sorry. I felt he ment it each time and came to an understanding with each other in the end.
What he did was wrong and I know he realizes it now. It was not my repuation that was tarnished here but his. I think that this is enough punishment. Lesson learned, dont fuck with the police!
Thank you again to all who wrote in this forum. There were many inciteful things said along with a few laughs that were needed a long the way
Respectfully,
Eastham officer in question
