Littleton PD hiring

The Littleton Police Department is accepting resume's for the position of Patrol Officer. Currently there are two positions open that shall be filled after July 1, 2008. Qualified applicants with full - time Academy training or a waiver from MPTC is required. Further candidates shall have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement or be substantially in progress towards that degree. Candidates must pass a physical / psychological exam, extensive background investigation, drug screening and hold a Class A LTC. FY09 starting salary is, $40,131.86 top step after 3 years $50,170.45 per year, benefits include, Quinn Bill paid yearly, Health Ins. 70% paid by town, vacation days, personal days. Deadline for resume's May 13, 2008

why is that every six months LPD is hiring? Is there something wrong with the job there?

Maybe the patrolman didnt like the advertisements on the crusiers...no its a good dept there were some layoff a while back and they are finally going back to the number of people they had before

Does anyone know if they have set up any interviews yet? I received a letter saying I'm qualified but not phone call on the interview yet.

They are doing interviews this week. They required an essay that was due Friday so if you havent heard yet you are out of luck on this one. Sorry.
