I have 2 questions. The first question is why are the cooper standards for the new hampshire state police harder then the rest of the cities and towns in nh or pushed to a further extreme is a better way to put it. Secondly lets say u are hired on the nh state police and u have to requalify every 3 years. Do you still have to go by the same agility test as the entrance exam or is it the same as the rest of the state at that point?

For the rest of the state, in order to enter the academy, you have to pass at the 35th percentile. But in order to graduate the academy, you have to pass at the 50th percentile. So by making the entrance standards at the 55th percentile, the NHSP ensures that physical fitness will not be an issue while probationary troopers are at the academy. Also, the 35th percentile is a joke...

The three year retests are run by the academy, not NHSP, so they are at the 35th percentile. But in order to be on certain special units, you have to PT test at the 55th percentile on an an annual basis.
