People, on the other hand are fair game. Robbery, rape, assault, and murder are NOT concerns of the per diem Police Officer.

It seems like a nice department. Great campus and talk about easilly accessable! Unarmed, sadly.

You didn't get the memo? Such things simply do not happen in the ivory towers of academia.

unless you have sspo academy dont bother. GREAT F'N PAY THOUGH

SSPO for per diem?

Posted by: HELPMe

^ from what I have heard...YES. Unless you know someone, they usually wont sponsor you, despite them having recruits in the academy on their homepage. If your a Per-Diem, one of the requirements for the posting was being able to get your powers right away according to SSPO requirements. Good luck either way.

They have 2 in the MBTA Academy right now

Posted by: LTSO16

and its not even armed??

Posted by: k1ngofsoccer22

has anyone heard back from them yet?

MBTA? do thier powers extend throughout the town?

Posted by: police1

Stonehill will be armed by June, the two in the academy are armed and the Officers there are going through training now.Stonehill is on the rise they also have a new Municipal Chief. The pay there is very good and Im sure it will go up once they get armed. Stonehill looks to be changing for the better. Alot of people trying to get in now just on the pay alone. New Chief is very serious about who he hires.

They don't derive their police power from the MBTA; they send officers through the MBTA academy, which is an MPTC academy. Numerous cities and towns utilize the MBTA academy to train their officers.
