FRAMINGHAM —
Police said a Framingham woman offering modeling and fetish services over the Internet was actually a prostitute.
Marlene N. Wakelin, 25, was arrested Wednesday at her 29 Danforth Court home at 3:12 p.m. after a police officer responded to her craigslist.org advertisement that read "Model, Massueses, selling panties, or Fetish Provider here," said police spokesman Lt. Paul Shastany.
Framingham police have arrested several suspected online prostitutes in the past year.
"We're always making sure anything that mentions Framingham that appears to be illegal is investigated," Shastany said.
Detective Larry Hendry found the ad online recently and began communicating with a woman later identified as Wakelin.
The ad offers "foot and pantyhose fetish $100 half hr session." She also offered to sell used panties for $50 apiece.
For modeling photography, lingerie shoots were $75 an hour, artistic nudes were $100 an hour and erotic nudes were $150 an hour. She also offered half-hour massages for $100.
After Wakelin and Hendry communicated online, she directed him to her personal Web site, which features several nude and revealing pictures, as well as pictures of her feet.
Hendry arranged to meet her at her apartment on Wednesday.
"He met with her, and she went onto her bed, money was asked for, and at that point the particular sex act was described, and she was arrested," Shastany said.
Wakelin was charged with offering sex for a fee.
In Framingham District Court yesterday, Wakelin admitted to sufficient facts. Judge Douglas Stoddart continued the case without a finding.
She must pay $200 in court costs, and if she is not arrested or charged with another offense before Sept. 26, the charges will be dropped.
