I finish the unarmed portion of the SPO rule 400 training this coming Monday and I am scheduled to take the 2 week armed portion starting April 14th. SO far so good, definitly a good start for someone new to the field but i do understand where SPO's stand and what their role is.

I interviewed yesterday with a company called Triple S. They immediately offered me a job. Part time security work while im attending the rest of the SPO training and waiting to recieve my LTC and they promised better opportunities after I am done with my training. I left the interview with mixed feelings.... I was happy that I was offered a job, but I was very uncertain. Was not told about any specific's i.e. where, pay, bene's, all i was old is that they will let me know.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this company Triple S? So far I have heard mixed reviews and I would really appreciate any feed back at all.

Thank You

Thank You
I don't know anything about SSS, but in a past life I was the Operations Manager for a large, national security company. (The one that kept an "eye" on things) Here's what I do know:

The turnover rate in most security companies is incredible. If a person comes in that breathes and obviously is not a wanted felon, they're getting a job offer. Especially someone like yourself who apparently can spell and has an IQ higher than room temperature.

He didn't tell you any specific information because at this point he doesn't know for sure where he's going to put you. Each client site that he has has a different pay rate, slightly different benefit packages, etc.

Someone who is smart enough and presentable enough to work at a "white glove" type client is going to get paid more than someone who looks like they crawled out of the bar scene in "Star Wars" and can only work the midnight shift at the toxic waste dump.

What probably happened after you left is that he called around to his account managers to see which of them needed a body. They'll try to figure out wether you're a "White gloves" or "toxic waste" kind of person.
When they call you back the account manager who is interested in you will probably be there and you'll get interviewed by him/her and also get more specific info about bennies.

Hope this helps.

Thanks man, To be a little bit more specific about my interview. They did say that while im in training they will try to give me part-time hours as they can but when my training is complete, they will see where they can place me. However, they did mention something about a community corrections account (actually mentioned it several times) where I would be working 1st shift hours, monitoring individuals on probation with what ever they have to do. They hinted towards this position several times and I believe it is one of those "white glove" accounts that you mentioned before.

I guess I will just have to wait and see where it takes me. My main goal is to work as an SPO so I can start gaining some experience in Law Enforcement.

Again thanks for the input. I just figured this would be a great place to ask for an opinions about this particular company.

A private company monitoring people on probation? Is this for a state or federal contract? I know the federal gov't contracts out some of their probation stuff to Wackenhut/G4S.......
