VT Officer Hit and Run Victim

Hardwick, Vermont Police are looking for a person who hit a police officer early Wednesday morning and then took off.
The unidentified officer was investigating an incident on Wolcott Street when he was struck by the car. The officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for undisclosed injuries and has since been released.
Police say they have recovered the vehicle that was involved, and are now looking for the suspect.
The identity of the officer was not given.

Hardwick police say they know who intentionally hit an officer with a car early Wednesday morning and then took off.
They say Officer Kevin Blanchard was investigating an incident near Granite Street and Wolcott Street. When he tried to make contact with the driver of a car there, the motorist put the car in reverse and hit the officer twice, then took off. Blanchard was taken to the hospital with bruises and contusions, treated and released.
Late Wednesday afternoon, police said Steven Sartelle, 24, turned himself in. He is being charged with probation violations and may face other charges.
