I loved it when they kept putting emphasis on how the metal detectors didn't pick up on it. DUH! IT'S PLASTIC!

M.G.L. c. 269 Section 10 still applies;

......"metallic knuckles or knuckles of any substance which could be put to the same use with the same or similar effect as metallic knuckles"............

I think it's a fair trade, someone brings plastic knuckles into Mass. and we give them metal jewelry and a felony charge!
