That's good to hear. You seemed to have the right attitude when you got the job and I'm glad you haven't turned over to the dark side. I hope that you have found greener pastures.

The chief there is the former Captain, and everyone has a lot of respect for him. He faces an uphill struggle against the administration, but he supports the officers, and is doing the best that he can. It (like many departments) has it's challenges, and will not be anything more than a stepping stone (or retirement home) until some larger issues are addressed. The officers that work there are great, and do good work with very little. Good luck to all those trying to get on. There will be plenty of opportunities in the next 6 months... trust me.

Often enough. I think they've had people in the last 3 or 4 SSPO academies. (then they bail upon graduation). Most recent vacancy due to officer going to Worc State or UmassMemorial ?(rumor has it.)

I have a buddy at HC and they are sending two to the next sspo. From what he told me HC wants one year following the academy but there is nothing in the contract covering that.

Posted by: Foxy85

LoL.... Verbal Contracts....haha no wonder they bolt after the academy...
