What the hell is going on with all of the stupid things in the schools ??
Mother Says Teen Being Targeted
BOSTON -- An honor roll student at Lawrence High School was suspended because she refused to take off her sweater, according to a report in the Eagle Tribune.
Flormarie Figueroa, a 16-year-old junior who attends the Business Management and Finance High School, was asked to leave her classroom because she was not complying with the school's uniform policy. She said that she told teachers that she was cold and felt a draft in the hallways and her classes.
The teen's mother, Maria Figueroa, said that her daughter was being targeted because she spoke out that there's no communication between school administrators and the parents. Maria Figueroa said that she'd take a personal day Thursday to serve the suspension with her daughter, the paper reported. Maria Figueroa said that most parents thought that their children could wear sweaters as long as they matched the school's uniform.
Superintendent Wilfredo Laboy said that the teen is not being targeted and that the suspension was one of dozens that occur each week at the school.
I know, it seems if you were to so much as fart in class they want to throw you out of school nowadays.
