Do you know anything about their department. How big their department and are they SSPO's? Do they carry firearms? The pay isnt great but if they send you to the sspo academy it may be worth it.

No guns and, last I heard, they will not send you to the SSPO.

They are SSPO's but I don't think they will send you to the academy. You have to have the qualifications to be appointed an SSPO without New Braintree.

It is a commuter school so you don't have to deal with the residential issiues. They also have contract security 24 hours a day. They are at a fixed post at the doors.

In addition to Charlestown they have one building in Chelsea. I think there is only 1 officer assigned there during the day and into the early evening.

Good Job!! Now you will have everyone and their mother applying for the position.

Posted by: mpd61

Seriously?

They are not armed! (should be like Massasoit is)
They shouldn't bother with SSPO. (Like Bridgewater State doesn't)
They need to stay the course and Dump AFSCME for MCLEA

Used to be a good program for a State CC. Unfortunately BHE/MSP and administrations are either stagnant or moving backwards at these schools.

Is Brian Simoneau still handling MCLEA, I checked his webiste and no longer has any info on it.

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about because you are probably a prime candidate.

You should be looking into English Composition courses at a community college, not a police job at one.

Why does someone who is looking at a forum devoted to employment listings complain when he finds an employment listing? Lame.

What it actually reads in our minds....

"I'm a mildly retared jackass who feels that alerting others to an open police position on a police forum website is unacceptable."

I am no English major however, when you start a sentence with a plural the rest of the sentence has to remain plural.
