ORTLAND, Maine (AP) -- Four people, including three New Hampshire residents, are in hot water after allegedly trying to steal a one-ton brass boiler from a former nursing home in Kittery, Maine. Responding to a report of suspicious activity, police arrived at the vacant Homestead Nursing Home and spotted two people running from a large opening in the back of the building and two others in a parked pickup truck. Police said the boiler, with a scrap value of more than $3,300, had been moved to the opening in the building. A chain was attached to the boiler and several tow straps lay on the ground near the front of truck. The four suspects, all charged with burglary, were identified as 29-year-old Justin Knowles and 22-year-old Eric Graham, both of Seabrook, N.H.; 31-year-old Jason Lamos of Epping, N.H., and 20-year-old Kathleen Theresa Fleming of Lowell, Mass.
