So who are the lucky (or unlucky) newbies? Are they waiverable? do they have their warrants yet? I'm sure the backgrounds were more in line with what the cert unit was looking for compared to the last group of hires.

dude...you spelled Methuen wrong...

The two new hires both have their warrants and are working. As far as them being lucky or unlucky I guess only they can answer that question.

Wow! That had to be a worlds record!!! Imagine all that effort and $ spent for something they don't need. BTW, is it true that the price of a warrant went up from $100 a head to $150? Well theres a couple grand that Massasoit could spend somewhere else like sensistivity training for Kowalski or Akeke!

actually woody I think its still a 100.00. thats what it was in November when I had to have mine renewed. Hope all is well

Oh come on now theres still real information being shared in between the more entertaining posts. Besides, like porn, nobody says you have to view the posts regarding Emerson's sexy new cruiser or how Massasoit burns people. Just avert your eyes!!!!

I can't stand Oprah Winfrey, so I change the channel when her show comes on. I don't write to the network and demand they let it die because I don't like it.

Like a wise man once said, when the horse is dead get off.

I feel bad for the officers that got screwed over by the SP but like I said the topic is moot. I realize I dont have to read every thread that's posted but this campus police forum has turned into an Emerson, Massasoit bashing forum instead. By posting this what did you hope to accomplish? As campus officers we should be trying to support one another not trying to poke fun at some that got hired at an institution that you have negative feelings with. My original post may have been a bit unwarranted but by starting a thread like this it will accomplish nothing positive. I am sure if you really wanted to know about the institution and the new employees you could pm someone on the forum that still works there instead of publicly posting it.

Okay then feel bad for them, and move on quickly right?

As campus officers we should be trying to support one another

Yes, but apparently only when you're in the mood.

Pardon my attempt at objective and critical discourse regarding tangible events.

Okay, I'm sure no members of this forum are the least bit interested, and at the very least, appreciate your efforts to protect them from such a controversial subject.
I find it ironic in this era of deputy sheriff bashing threads and ultra-praise to Delta's one man struggle against tyrrany, that you so vehemently oppose the ongoing saga of Massasoit posts. I mean these are LIVES being ruined here. Sorry if that bores you or you think it's too "tabloid". I sincerely hope that YOU never face any adverse actions by your employer for doing your job within accepted standards of practice, procedure and morality and get screwed to the wall for it. Well, be safe anyway!

I hate to be the one to break the news, and this may come as somewhat of a shock, but as far as I know you haven't been declared the ultimate arbiter of what horse is dead, what threads have run their course, etc.

If you don't like to read about the ongoing problems at Massasoit, then don't read any threads with the word "Massasoit" in it. It's not exactly rocket science.

The administrators and moderators will decide when the horse is dead.

What's the story about the suspended guys? I heard Union, MPA, and private attorney's are all lined up, but the school won't give up. I heard they never even got fired, and that they still are going to grievance hearings etc? How can they get away with crap like that?

I write to them and she keeps coming back. So, it's not even worth the effort. Maybe my letters shouldn't start with,

DEAR FILTH MONGERS !

I WANT SOMETHING UNDER MY CHAIR FOR A CHANGE!

and then I go into various threats and rants. It's all good.

But I agree 100% with non-Oprah posts, you don't like 'em, leave 'em.

Sounds like the school is stonewalling. One thing I heard is that the SSPO warrants are an issue for the suspended officers. The school probably is hoping to use that to justify termination in the near future. If the MPA took the case, I would think thats a good sign for the officers right?

MPA legal defense fund lawyers did take the case, it's in the works.

May the 'powers that be' be crucified and humiliated in court and if they don't have the brains to quietly resign after this, may they be further humiliated by a very public firing!
