A Roxbury man has been busted for allegedly attempting to frame an innocent man then raiding his home while he was being held by cops on false charges. Jose “Tito” Alvarez, 42, of Dubois Street, is accused of conspiring with disgraced former Boston cop Roberto Pulido in 2005 to frame Pulido’s former business associate. U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan’s office alleges that Alvarez planted a gun and drugs in the man’s car, called police and, while the victim was in custody, raided his home to steal $18,000 cash and jewelry. Pulido will be sentenced in May for helping protect truckloads of cocaine for undercover federal agents.
