About a week ago, my account of being arrested while travelling on the MBTA was posted on MASSCOPS. But the user who posted it wasn't actually me.

It was Val. You know her as rocksy1826. I know this because I only sent this description to my lawyer and a couple of people I know personally. Val was one of those people.

What's interesting is that when she reposted it here, she edited out a paragraph. That snippet read:

"To their credit, EVERYONE at the Police station was quite nice. The officer who handled my booking let me make a few phonecalls, get some water, etc. The officer who released me actually put up $40 out of his own pocked [sic] since the bail bondsman poked her head in but would leave before my friends came to post the $40."

It must have been important for Val to redact anything positive I might have said about the cops. I guess the lesson here is if the facts don't suit you, change them.

Of course, everyone on these forums starts jumping all over the post. Now it gets a little bit strange...

"galehopeful," a new user to MASSCOPS posts her very first message on this website in this particular thread. In that post, she selectively quotes and inaccurately applies the photography rule. Expected, but the point is this is likely Val who, for whatever reason, feels the need to support herself by pretending to be someone else.

This is known as "astroturfing."

Then user "JDotey" -- whose ONLY post on MASSCOPS is this one -- claims to be me and argues with the board members:

In no way did I interfere with the EMT's. You couldn't even identify the victim. I simply was trying to report on the increasing crime problem in Boston. None of you are able to give a single reason of how I did anything wrong on a legal level.

Val is now pretending to be someone else in order to stir the ****. Wow.

But wait, there's more!

User "justanotherparatrooper" posts a link to my blog (30thhour.blogspot.com). How does s/he know about my blog?? The original account doesn't contain any identifying information so ...while it might be possible to chalk it up to some stunning Google footwork, given Val's childish self-support, I think it's likely that she notified them privately.

This is where it gets downright funny...

Val comments as herself (rocksy1826) writing only "freakin' pathetic."

But wait, there's still more!

User "emtregd" makes another pass at kicking the bees nest by mentioning I'm in touch with the ACLU.

Is this emtregd's very first post ever? Yep. Hi Val!

Let's recap...

Val posts the incident account as me. She edits the account and omits the part where I give cops credit. She supports herself by making an alter-ego. Val then argues with herself by creating another alter-ego, sends information about my blog to another user, creates yet another alter-ego to point to justanotherparatrooper's post and eventually adds a few derisive words ...as herself.

Brilliant!

I told her to stop contacting me via email. She continued. I filtered her out of my inbox. She keeps writing.

Then she started leaving messages on my blog under her own name. I deleted them.

She started sending messages via MySpace. I blocked her.

THEN she started sending IM's via AIM. Blocked those too.

Now she's taken to leaving a ton of anonymous messages on my blog.

So beware of Val and her legion of alters. They're all nuttier than squirrel turds.

* I sent the original account to Val.

* Val visits these boards as rocksy1826.

* Someone posted the original account but redacted the part where I said something good about the cops.

* Three people created accounts just to comment on this particular thread that's two tiers buried from the main forum.

Doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure it out. LARRY Holmes could probably piece this one together. And if you're wondering why you never made detective, Delta, this thread might help.

The purpose for my thread is to nail Val to the wall, publicly, for her juvenile bull****. My work is done here. =)

Hey, just wanted to clarify who I am.

You have to have a first post at some point; I have been a registered user since December of 2007 and was a lurker until that post. That particular thread grabbed my interest and I felt like responding. I am from Massachusetts but currently live in metro Atlanta--I don't feel that I need to go into anymore detail than that.

I couldn't post links, so I directly typed (word for word) a section of the photo guidelines; while I did only use one part of the one page PDF, I did not alter or leave out words from the sections that I attributed to the MBTA. I am in no way affiliated with the original poster, nor am I attempting to be a "troll," I merely responded to an incendiary post.

The soldier reported what Davila had said to military police, who arrested her and turned her over to Pierce County authorities.
The victims were identified as Timothy Miller, 27, and Randi Miller, 25. Timothy Miller was apparently shot in a bathtub at the couple's suburban Parkland home, while Randi Miller was shot on a bed and then moved to the bathtub, Murphy wrote.
According to the declaration, Davila took the baby to a home-improvement store after the killings, bought muriatic acid, returned to the home and poured it on the bodies.
The baby was not harmed and is now in the care of the state's Child Protective Services.
Davila told the soldier that "Randi Miller was in a relationship with Davila's ex-boyfriend," Murphy said in his declaration.
Murphy said investigators had found a Home Depot receipt for the acid, a pistol and Randi Miller's purse in a search of the barracks.

So you are admitting that her post was in fact your verbal spew with the exception of the above "snippet" being edited out. Had that "snippet" been left in place, the response to Val's posting (Your verbal diarreah) would have been the same. Your "snippet" was merely a minor stroking of police officers in order to appeal to them and establish sympathy. They don't fall for that Verbal Judo.. No one, I am sure, retracts from their previous posts.

Lawdog had one of the best responses to that clown. I didn't want to make judgement until I had read the guy's original post. I read most of it. I would have read the whole thing, but I was getting enraged and didn't want to hit my computer.

Aside from the very simple and obvious fact that, if you're told not to do something, stop (duh), since 9-1-1 most transit systems prefer that people not take pictures in their systems. I was on vacation with my son in D.C. and started to videotape in one of the stations. I was told to stop, and guess what, I DID! No childish arguments and no claims of it being a civil right. I've read the bill of rights and photography isn't even mentioned. I don't think there's a single mention of photography in any of the Constitution. Granted there was no photography back when it was first written, but picture painting isn't mentioned either.

The guy who posted the original message disgusts me and is a prime example of a whiney little sot who DEMANDS HIS way and couldn't care less about anyone else's rights, basic decency and the laws of the Commonwealth.

I'm sure he's voting for Hillary.

Rocksy, if you posted under different names, it's probably not cool, but this jerk deserved a shot, several.

i'm not crying bullshit You apparently didn't look at the facts of the situation that have been proven

- i did not make numerous alters. the initial anonymous unregistered post was supposed to be done under the jdote whatever id.. ask gil when it was created.

I created the id BEFORE the thread was posted. i had to go to work and it wasn't approved by moderators yet so i just did it unregistered. multiple alters were not made.

-The only reason this thread came about is in a fit of rage when the author who gave me the info wasn't happy with the feedback he got and wrongly assumed that I was making the replies YOU GUYS WERE MAKING and felt it wasn't fair.

-the jdotesomething id was only used in the attempt not to stir shit.... but to steer the debate back towards legal reasons why it wasn't ok. There was zero malicious intent.

- i can think of at least 7 users who have created threads on ask a cop under alter names NUMEROUS times in the past. More than 1 of whom are on this thread. Those in glass houses...

- I still am disgusted by the actions of jason at the MBTA station. That never changes. He knows this.

- The author of this thread has since apologized to me for the creation of this thread since I did NOT do what he thought i had and he feels his actions were wrong. Not mine.

I think that the guy who was taking the pictures is a well for lack of a better term (in my opinion) a douche bag....and for good measure a jackass, you were asked to move along and stop taking pictures and you didn't.
As for posting this story under a different name. My feelings on that is if you weren't doing it to be malicious in some way then why did you need to post it under a different name? Seems a bit weird that if you were just posting to try and get your "freinds" problem out there and you were legit then there would be no reason to post it that way..
